The unclothed female form is arguably the greatest work of art; a source on inspiration since time immemorial. In an ever changing world where life is often lived at a frenetic pace, it is easy to miss out on those experiences that nourish the soul. Art, literature, music, are these not the things that make life worth living? The power of beauty surely cannot be underestimated.

Working in the great outdoors is my real passion, using the textures and shape of a body as a contrast against a palette of natural and man-made materials. Old buildings or other unusual settings are of particular interest - anything that fires the imagination and provides a means to define and honour the human form. Similarly I enjoy working in studios, using strong shadows, to create simple, beautiful images.

Photography for me is a means of pure artistic expression. I am fascinated by the creative process - making pictures is an enthralling, occasionally frustrating, but ultimately very satisfying activity.
